Privacy Policy

Written in plain English. Practicing what we preach.

The short version

  • We collect nothing about you.
  • We store only public document analysis results, anonymously by content hash.
  • That is everything. There is nothing else.

What we collect about you

Nothing. No name. No email address. No phone number. No IP address. No location. No device information. No browser fingerprint. Nothing whatsoever.

What we store

When a document is analyzed, we store the analysis result in a public database. The database key is a cryptographic hash of the document content — not your IP address, not a session ID, not anything that identifies you. The stored data contains: • The URL of the document (if you provided one) • The AI analysis result (verdict, red flags, etc.) • The timestamp of analysis • An expiry date (30 days) This data is public and accessible to anyone with the analysis ID. It contains no information about who requested the analysis.

Cookies

We use only technically necessary cookies — the minimum required to serve the website. No tracking cookies. No advertising cookies. No analytics cookies. Your dark/light mode preference is stored in your browser's localStorage only. It never leaves your device.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool built into our hosting provider. It counts page views and unique visitors using aggregated, anonymized data only. No cookies. No personal identifiers. No cross-site tracking. No IP address stored. We can see that people visited, not who they were.

Advertising

None. Ever. There are no ads on Printd. There will never be ads on Printd.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services to operate Printd: • AI inference — the model that analyzes documents. Document text is processed to generate the analysis result and is not retained by the inference provider. • Vercel — hosts the website. Standard hosting data (logs) applies per Vercel's privacy policy. • Supabase — stores the public document analysis cache. No user data is stored here. • Flutterwave — if you choose to donate. We never see your payment information. We have no advertising partnerships, affiliate relationships, or data-sharing agreements with any company.

Your rights

There is nothing to request, delete, or export, because we hold nothing about you. If you want the cached analysis of a document removed, contact us via GitHub and we can delete the specific analysis entry.

Document text you provide

When you paste text, upload a PDF, or provide a URL, that document content is processed by our AI model to generate the analysis. We do not store the raw document text ourselves — only the analysis result. Do not paste genuinely private or sensitive documents. Analyze only documents that are publicly available or that you have the right to analyze.

Children

Printd does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. Since we collect nothing, this applies equally to children and adults.

Changes to this policy

We will never change this policy in a way that compromises your anonymity or begins collecting your data. If we ever change anything, we will note the date of change below. Last updated: March 2026. Added Vercel Analytics disclosure (cookieless, anonymized, no personal data).

Contact

Questions or concerns? Open an issue on GitHub. We have no email address to give because we genuinely don't collect one.

This is what a privacy policy should look like.

Simple, honest, and short — because there's genuinely nothing to hide. That simplicity is itself a statement about what Printd stands for.
